Devonshire Cheesecakes.
814. Boil one large carrot till tender, rub it through a sieve, and mix well with it two small table-spoonsful of flour, half a pound of currants, one egg well beaten, a tea-spoonful of milk, a quarter of a pound of sugar, and a little nutmeg. Then line the patty-pans with pastry, fill them with the mixture, and bake.
