Marzipan Dates

Sweets and Toffee

Stoned dates stuffed with marzipan and presented in tiny paper cases. A Christmas treat. Known at least since 'Home-made Sweetmeats, Jams, Marmalades, Wines, Etc' by Mrs. H. M. Young, 1902.

MARZIPAN DATES.
Remove the stones from some dates, and fill in the centres with a little of the almond paste rolled into an oblong shape. Press together again, and roll in icing sugar.
