Mushrooms: Morel or Sponge Mushroom

A highly distinctive mushroom with a deeply wrinkled, sponge-looking, pointed cap which changes from white through yellow to brown as the season progresses.



One of the very few wild mushrooms traditionally eaten in England. See:
