Resurrection Pie

Pies and Pastries

Comical name for a pie made from leftovers, but see also Denby Dale Pie.

The term seems to date from the late 19th century, as it appears in several novels and articles of that time. The charming 1900 An Englishwoman's Love Letters (anonymous, but possibly written by A. E. Housman's brother, Laurence) makes it a significant part of the plot.
