A form of Rolly-Polly Pudding made with Golden Syrup filing instead of jam.

Golden Syrup Roll

8x suet pastry
4oz golden syrup
1 teaspoon ground ginger or lemon (optional)

Roll pastry into a strip. Spread with syrup an sprinkle with seasoning. Roll, seal edges and steam 11/2 hours.
