Mushrooms: Giant Puffball or Puff-Fist Calvatia gigantea, the most distinctive of all edible fungi. A bright, smooth, white ball from 1in to 2ft diameter found in shady areas. Prized for breakfast fry-ups  One of the very few wild mushrooms traditionally eaten in England.
